Podcast:SoundsBySa Radio Rating: Explicit Published On: Sat Oct 24 2020 Description: Music has always been an integral part of revolutions. What started as a simple protest has turned into a movement because of the perseverance of Nigeria’s youth. Music has fueled this movement & will continue to do so for many other movements to come. Nigerian artists have always spoken through their music, dating back to Fela speaking about the corruption of the Nigerian government. Today artists still use music as a tool to speak their truth. Some such as Wizkid & Mr. Eazi have used music to share their story of struggle & how they’ve overcome. Others such as Naira Marley & Falz have taken a rebellious & satirical approach, often mocking those in power. The following songs have been significant in the current movement to put an end to many years of bad governance & corruption in Nigeria. Many of these songs have been played at protest across the globe & continue to inspire Nigerians in their quest for a better Nigeria. Although we have a long way to go, we hope this playlist inspires you as we continue this fight #EndSARS - Ep. 005
